On this report, we talk with Eben Schwartz with the California Coastal Commission and Jolyn Bibb with Whole Foods about California Coastal Cleanup Day which annually brings tens of thousands of volunteers to the state’s beaches and inland shorelines to remove the debris that has accumulated over the course of the year.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 20, 2008 and join in California’s largest volunteer cleanup event. Eben Schwartz, Outreach Manager with the California Coastal Commission, says that more cleanup activities will be happening off the beach than on the coast itself since most of the trash littering our beaches and ocean comes from inland areas.
