Thank You Ocean Day--and Beyond

June 8th, World Ocean Day, is California's Thank You Ocean Day

June 8th, World Ocean Day, has been proclaimed "Thank You Ocean" Day for California by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 250 members of California's Ocean Communicators Alliance join in celebrating the statewide "Thank You Ocean" public awareness campaign, a call to action for all Californians. Many member organizations are planning concerts, films and other public events, and some of California's OCA member aquariums are offering free or reduced admission and special attractions.
